Ewan Pearson
Ewan Pearson has been making records for a living since 1998. He has recorded as Maas for Soma, releasing six singles and an album, ‘Latitude’, and under a number of other guises including World of Apples and Partial Arts. His remixes for the likes of Depeche Mode, Chemical Brothers, Seelenluft, Franz Ferdinand and Freeform 5 have made him one of dance music’s most respected producers. He has programmed for Goldfrapp and Gwen Stefani and his production credits include Tracey Thorn's acclaimed solo album 'Out Of The Woods', The Rapture's 'Pieces of the People We Love', as well as Jeb Loy Nichols, Ladytron and Chikinki amongst others. And he's the author of ‘Discographies: dance music, culture and the politics of sound’ (Routledge, 1999) with Jeremy Gilbert. ‘Discographies’ has been translated into Korean and Spanish.

2007 is already shaping up nicely. A new album from M83 and single for Australian indie sensations Lost Valentinos are already in the bag. In July fabric will release Ewan's contribution to their legendary mix CD series. Later this summer Ewan kicks off a new occasional label 'Misericord' with a new EP from his Partial Arts partner Al Usher, Partial Arts will follow up their acclaimed 'Trauermusik' with a new single for Kompakt and K7 will be releasing 'Piece Work', a 2CD retrospective of Ewan's finest remixes from the last 5 years. And last but not least he's been nominated for Best British Producer in the DJ mag Best of British Awards. Crikey.
