Meeting Dice face to face is a lot like meeting your oldest friend. He is warm, friendly, relaxed and unassuming. Seeing him live, behind decks, an effects unit and a mixer is the next level up again. There are two Dices to be had here. Thereís the one to be witnessed on a sunny dance floor like Ibizaís DC10 where he has been star and resident for three years, holding court with his sexy, minimal, funk, or thereís the other Dice in a dark underground cavern throwing deep, solid and heavy beats out to the hungry, sweating dance floor. On top of all that, listening to the music he produces with long time cohort Martin Buttrich is an experience that lifts you into the future. Together they produce a style that always puts them ahead of the game and you can actually feel the musical shift that goes on around them as the competition tries to work out their next move. Stylistically, itís closer to loving the alien than it is to house music. It's pioneering, electronic music that is warm and entirely addictive but also completely new and every time it appears in the mix its elevated status just becomes more apparent. Singles have already appeared this year on Cocoon, Ovum, Four Twenty,Rebel One and he starts working on his album after a move to New York this year.
