Paco Osuna Pérez was born in Barcelona in 1974, and his pronounced inclination for music became passion in 1988. Coinciding with the explosion of the Acid House movement, Paco starts attending clubs like the Studio54 of Barcelona. Raúl Orellana's sets (one of the most representative and influent DJs at that time) have a major influence on Paco's way of understanding music.
From about 1994 on, he assiduously starts visiting music stores in Barcelona and Valencia, the city where he moved in 1995. This year he already flirts on the decks and it didn't take him a long time to get popular as a DJ. His first resident DJ gigs in clubs such as the A.C.T.V or the Heaven in Valencia lead him to build a very particular style in playing, leaving his contemporaries apart. Paco skilfully works on three decks and marks a rather unusual way of understanding "groove" than it occured in the scene up to then.
The same year, he starts working in a recording studio to produce his first releases for Lucas Records: "Smoke Paper", "Devil's Club Pt.1" and "Devil's Club Pt.2", enforcing his growth as a DJ. These releases are clearly influenced by the British House of that time.
In 1999, Paco signs up as a resident DJ for the Amnesia in Ibiza, which leads him to know and learn from the different techniques of international DJs such as Sven Väth - one of his top and stronger influences - in order to go on growing a unique personality in the DJ booth. It was then when his interest for harder sounds such as Techno grew, but never leaving behind his passion for House. In the same year, the international career of Paco started and since then, his sets are required at festivals such as Dance Valley (NL), City Parade, Impulz or 4 Elements as well as in outstanding clubs such as the Fuse (Brussels).
With respect his producer identity, he signs at the Serial Killer label, recording for them three 12'' where he shapes the course of his style in a more concrete way. Under the name Osuna he releases "I can feel my blood pumpin'" and "Me vuelve loca" on the Serial Killer EPs "Groove Grill" and "Beat Hacker". Paco is the first Resident DJ in Ibiza to play Techno and record a Techno-Mix-CD in the series 'Amnesia: Ibiza Underground Vol 1 y 2' which were applauded by most of the critic and of a growing audience.
Being at home in both styles House and Techno, as well as in the fusion between them, Paco Osuna understands his sets as an "in-crescendo"-journey causing variations of tension that drive the dancefloor crazy. The combination between this factor and his unquestionable technical skills allows us to talk about Paco as one of the most solid promises of the international scene.
